People talk down to me, coddle me, and patronize me all my life instead of recognizing me for the strong, independent, intelligent person that I am. I'm saying this as a woman in her thirties who people still mistake for a teenager. Unfortunately, people are always going to treat you the way you look and not the way you actually are.
